Navy bespoke three-piece suit by Ron & Rich, Singapore

Bespoke Suits & Jackets in Singapore

Tailoring in Singapore since 1979, Ron & Rich is a long-standing choice for gentlemen searching for an authentic bespoke suit. For business, a wedding or a black-tie evening, our master tailors cut full-canvas tailored suits that complement your frame with quiet authority.

Suits

The house cut: soft shoulders, clean lines and a natural drape.

Our suits celebrate the masculine silhouette with soft shoulders, clean lines and a natural drape, the hallmarks of Italian tailoring. The result is effortlessly sophisticated, timeless in style and contemporary in ease.

Singapore’s climate asks more of a suit than elegance. Every bespoke suit, jacket and tuxedo we cut is fully canvassed in a lightweight canvas, so the chest holds its structure while moulding to your body over time. Breathable cloths keep you at ease, and a high-set armhole gives your arms freedom to move while the jacket stays neatly in place.

Bespoke jackets

A jacket can be commissioned on its own, cut from the same individual pattern as a suit jacket. Our full-canvas sports jackets start from $1,790, while safari jackets and chore coats offer a more relaxed option from $790.

Your first bespoke suit

Commissioning your first custom-made suit in Singapore should be an unhurried process. We begin by discussing your week and the climate you dress for, and select breathable cloths that suit Singapore’s heat. Our master tailor then advises on lapel shape, shoulder construction and overall proportion, building a foundation piece tailored strictly to you.

How a bespoke suit is made

Every bespoke suit, tuxedo or jacket begins with a clean sheet of paper and is cut around how you stand, sit and move.

  1. 01

    Consultation and pattern drafting

We discuss how and where you will wear the garment, select your cloth and take detailed measurements to draft an individual master pattern from scratch.

  2. 02

    The basted fitting

You try on the suit loosely stitched together with basting thread. Our master tailor examines the silhouette, adjusting the chest canvas, shoulder slope and trouser pitch directly on your body.

  3. 03

    Pattern refinement

The suit is taken apart and every chalked adjustment from the fitting is recorded back onto your master pattern, ready for future commissions.

  4. 04

    Final try-on and collection

You return for a final fitting to check the drape and movement. Once every detail is approved, your suit is hand-pressed and cased in our house garment bag.

Bespoke suit FAQs

How much does a bespoke suit cost at Ron & Rich?

A bespoke suit starts from $2,170, a sports jacket from $1,790 and a tuxedo from $2,270, including GST. The final price depends on the cloth you choose.

How long does a bespoke suit take to make?

About 8 to 12 weeks from consultation to collection. If you are working to a shorter timeline, ask about our express service.

What is the difference between a bespoke suit and a made-to-measure suit?

Made-to-measure alters an existing base pattern to your basic measurements. A bespoke suit is drafted from scratch as a master pattern for your body alone, then refined over basted fittings for exact drape, balance and posture.

What is a full-canvas suit?

A full-canvas suit has a layer of wool and horsehair canvas stitched between the cloth and the lining of the jacket front. Because it is stitched rather than glued, it shapes the chest and moulds to you over time.

What am I paying for in a bespoke suit?

Premium mill cloth, hand-stitched full-canvas construction and an individual master pattern drafted for your body. Above all, you are paying for the time and judgement of a master tailor who cuts, fits and adjusts the garment across several fittings.

Do you tailor suits for clients outside Singapore?

Many clients visit from overseas. We can plan fittings around your travel dates, and once your pattern is on file, repeat commissions need fewer visits.
